Professional Development Classes – Winter/Spring
Explore Moraine Park’s online and in-person classes to build the skills and knowledge you need to succeed in your career. We also offer personal enrichment classes focused on fun, hobbies and personal growth.

Available Classes
Classes marked [ed2go ONLINE] are offered through our third-party online course provider and educational partner, ed2go. Please note that registration and payment are completed through ed2go’s external system, not through the College. Use the link in the class description to register.
Existing Certificate Holders Only – Refresh on updated food handling requirements to maintain certification in holding a Wisconsin Certified Food Manager Certificate (CFM). Utilize the ServSafe Exam to re-test at the end of class (online purchase required). Successful students will be issued a course completion certificate and testing is required every five years.
Explores the fundmentals of forklift operation in the workplace. Students receive hands-on application by practicing with a forklift. Participants examine factors affecting safe operation for the operator, the load, the forklift and the physical environment. Certification is available upon completion for propane, electric and pallet jack forklifts (types I, IV, V). Class is compliant with OSHA stndard 1910.178 for powered trucks. Forklift books are included in the cost and will be distributed by the instructor the day of the class.
Hands-on healing that is effective for emotional, mental and physical health issues is currently being practiced at 800 hospitals and clinics throughout the United States. While focusing on the use of Reiki in the Health Care profession, this Japanese form of stress reduction and deep relaxation helps strengthen the immune system and promote healing for just about anyone. Join us to learn Level I Reiki so you are able to give a Reiki session to a patient and perform self-healing. A book is provided. Students will earn a certificate of completion.
Fine-tune your level one Reiki skills by increasing your ability to receive and utilize the Reiki energy. As practitioners, learn to feel high and low energy frequencies, practice distance healing, understand the use of symbols and learn body scanning and beaming. Prerequisite: Completion of Reiki 1. A book is provided in Reiki 1 for both Reiki 1 and Reiki 2. Students will earn a certificate of completion.
Develop tools, techniques and symbols of the master level to become a Master Practitioner. Receive a Level 3 attunement that will increase your ability and understanding to receive and utilize the Reiki energy and allow you to become a Master. Prerequisite: Completion of Reiki 1 and 2. A book is provided. Students will earn a certificate of completion at Reiki Level 3 Master.
Develop teaching skills for Reiki and receive a Level 4 attunement, increasing your ability to receive and utilize Reiki energy. Develop an understanding of the essence of becoming a Master to complete your Reiki training. Further instruction on how to give attunements will enhance your Reiki skills at the Master Teacher level. Prerequisite: Completion of Reiki levels 1, 2 and 3. A book is provided. Students will earn a certificate of completion at Reiki Level 4 Master Teacher.
Registration Process
- Visit morainepark.edu/ce and choose between Personal Enrichment classes for personal growth or Professional Development classes to advance your career.
- Select a class, click “See Class Details,” and use the 5-digit CRN number to find important information about the class, including capacity, dates, times, instructor and cost. Write down the course title, course number (xxx-xxx), and 5-digit CRN for Step 2.

If you don’t have a myMPTC Student account:
Submit an Electronic Registration Form using the class title, course number (xxx-xxx) and 5-digit CRN:
- Create or log in to your Dynamic Forms account to access the form (View Dynamic Forms account creation instructions)
- Complete the Electronic Registration Form with your Dynamic Forms account username and password.
Students with a myMPTC Student account:
Register online through your myMPTC Student account:
- Log into myMPTC Student
- Select “myMPTC”
- Select “My Student Center”
- Select “Registration and Planning”
- Select “Register for Classes”
- Select Term and click “Continue”
- Enter the class CRNs on the “Enter CRNs” tab and click “Add to Summary”
- Click “Submit” to complete registration

Class Fee Overview:
- Classes marked [ed2go ONLINE] are provided in partnership with ed2go and follow a separate, external registration and payment process linked in the class description.
- Class fees include tuition and classroom/lab material fees. Out-of-state residents pay an additional $78.73 per credit.
- Class fees do not include textbooks or other supplies unless noted.
- Senior discounts are available for seniors 62 and over for most classes.
- Tuition is due within 3 business days of registration.

- Class schedules and tuition and fees are subject to change without notice and are not to be considered as contractual guarantees for any course.
- If a class is full, please request to be placed on the waitlist. Waitlists are compiled on a “first-come, first-served” basis. Students on a waitlist for personal enrichment or continuing education courses will be notified via their personal email. Students have 24 hours to reply to the email or the next person on the waitlist will be contacted. Please inform Enrollment Services if your contact information changes.
- Audit policy: Students may choose to audit undergraduate (UG) level courses to gain a general understanding of the subject matter. The student must submit a completed Audit Course Intent Form at the time of registration. Audited classes do not earn credit, and standard tuition, fees and withdrawal policies apply. Students auditing a course may not be added to a wait list.
