What is a scholarship?
A scholarship is a sum of money provided by a generous person, family, business or organization that is awarded to a student in order to help him or her further his or her education. Unlike a student loan, scholarships are gifts that don’t need to be paid back. There are two types of scholarships at Moraine Park Technical College – Moraine Park Foundation scholarships and outside scholarships.
Moraine Park Foundation scholarships are funded by generous gifts from alumni, Moraine Park faculty and staff, businesses, service clubs, and friends of the College who believe in higher education and who are passionate about making Moraine Park Technical College affordable to students.
The Follett Bookstore Scholarship of $100 will be awarded to 50 students to be used in the bookstore. Please complete the application and a GradReady course to be eligible for this funding.
Berger Book Bag is a fund administered by the Moraine Park Foundation, Inc. for the purpose of providing financial assistance to Moraine Park Technical College students who might otherwise have difficulty in purchasing required books and academic supplies. Spring applications will be available December 1st through January 4th.
