Health & Wellness

Promote a culture of health, use holistic wellness strategies to guide client behavior and lifestyle change, or lead and evaluate personal and group fitness and strength training exercise sessions.

EMT / Paramedic

EMTs respond to emergencies and transport patients to appropriate care facilities. Working as an EMT, you’ll respond to a number of situations ranging from vehicle crashes, heart attacks, childbirths to gunshot wounds.

Paramedic utilize vital skills to perform advanced prehospital medical procedures. Incidents such as heart attacks, drownings, childbirth, auto accidents and gunshot wounds require immediate attention—it’s paramedics who can intervene in these instances and save lives!

Medical Assistant

Medical Assistants assist physicians in a variety of clinical and administrative tasks, such as greeting patients, scheduling appointments, updating patient medical records, and coding and billing.

Substance Use Disorder Counseling

Substance abuse impacts roughly 1 in 10 people in the U.S., people. Prepare to evaluate and counsel clients with the Substance Use Disorders Counseling (SUDC) degree program at Moraine Park. Become a licensed counselor in only two years.

Radiography

The Radiography associate degree at Moraine Park prepares students for a career in diagnostic radiography (x-ray) as a radiologic technologist. A radiologic technologist produces images of the human body to aid physicians in the diagnosis and treatment of injuries and diseases.

Diagnostic Medical Sonography

Diagnostic Medical Sonographers, more commonly referred to as ultrasound technologists, work with specialized equipment that uses soundwaves to produce internal anatomical images of the human bodyTheir work helps to support medical professionals in making accurate diagnoses. 

Nursing

Moraine Park’s Associate Degree in Nursing is your gateway to providing patient-centered care with unwavering integrity. Harness the power of social, mathematical, and physical sciences. Delve into the intricacies of pharmacology and pathophysiology, and elevate your clinical decision-making skills through hands-on classroom instruction, laboratory practice, and clinical nursing experiences to the next level.

Respiratory Therapy

Respiratory therapists provide patient, family and community education, and participate in life support activities as required. Upon graduation, Moraine Park Respiratory Therapy students are qualified for admission to the entry-level and advanced practitioner examinations to become a registered respiratory therapist.

Surgical Technology

As a surgical technologist, you will have a front-row seat to live anatomy lessons as you work alongside physicians and assist them in executing surgical procedures. At Moraine Park, you will be trained to understand the anatomy, physiology and pathophysiology of what has brought a patient into the operating room–allowing you to stay alert and anticipate a surgeon’s every move.

Dual Enrollment Opportunities

Earn college credit at Moraine Park Technical College while in high school through Dual Credit or Start College Now.

Dual Credit

Dual Credit allows high school students to earn college credit without leaving their high school classroom. The courses are taught by certified high school instructors using technical college curriculum, grading policies and textbooks. Use the dual credit lookup tool to see what courses are offered as dual credit at your high school.

Talk with your high school counselors to see what certificates or credentials you can earn in these programs while in high school.

Start College Now

The Start College Now program enables high school students to enroll in technical courses or general education courses to earn high school and college credit at the same time. The program is open to eligible 11th and 12th-grade high school students in good academic standing.
