Take the Next Step

The first step for most students usually includes a meeting with their high school counselor, followed by an exploration of career pathways through Inspire Wisconsin and other resources. The Course Planner Worksheet can then be used to plan and enroll in exploratory courses.

Moraine Park also offers events that help students explore specific Career Pathways.

Student Story: Miya Grunert

Grunert took advantage of Moraine Park’s Dual Enrollment courses and began her first full year at Moraine Park with over half of her Graphic Design associate degree completed.

“Most of my classes have been online and are flexible enough to work around my other high school classes, work and extracurricular activities,” Grunert said.

“My InDesign class helped me design the Ripon Area School District’s Annual Calendar. I also loved the fact that I was not only earning credits for high school, but for my graphic design degree.”

This guide provides general information on an eligible student’s rights under FERPA.

Dual Credit

If you want to drop or withdraw from a dual credit class, you must work with your teacher or counselor. They will submit Moraine Park’s drop/withdrawal form for you.

Start College Now

Students may drop or withdraw from classes during the drop and/or withdrawal periods through the following options:

  • Self-service (MyMPTC Student)
  • Complete and submit MPTC’s Add/Drop Classes form to Student Services

To drop or withdraw from a contracted course, you must discuss this with your high school counselor. Once approved at the high school, they will complete the drop/withdrawal form and submit the required paperwork to MPTC.

If you receive a grade of D, F, or W (withdrawn) this can negatively affect both your college GPA and future financial aid at Moraine Park.

Students in all programs are required to achieve a grade point average of 2.0 or better in all attempted credits required in the program. Students who receive a D grade in any program course must repeat the course with a C or better grade. Failure to do so will prevent the student from graduating until such time as the proper level of achievement has been attained.
