NEW STUDENT ORIENTATION

Welcome to Moraine Park!

Welcome to the New Student Orientation! We know you have a lot of questions and this orientation is designed to help you learn a little bit more about MPTC and prepare you for your Program Meeting.

It is important that you complete the entire orientation before meeting with your advisor.

Once you have completed the orientation, you will be able to come back and review the information at any time.

Watch the welcome video below and continue to scroll down to learn more about Moraine Park. When you’re ready to move onto the next section, click the button at the bottom of the page. Start with setting up your accounts in the Student Resources section below.

STUDENT RESOURCES

There are several tools that you will need to set up and have access to – myMPTC Student, student email, and Canvas.

myMPTC Student: Your myMPTC student account provides you with access to course registration, grades, payment plan, and financial aid – just to name a few things. You will also have access to important college dates and information.

Student Email: The MPTC student email is an official form of communication that the college will use to stay in contact with you. Your advisor, financial aid, student services, and your instructors will use this email to communicate with you. You will want to check it regularly.

Canvas: Even if you are not taking an online class, chances are your classes will still use Canvas. This is a tool used by your instructors to communicate course requirements and where you will access your online courses.  Your advisor will show you how to access Canvas and discuss this with you further at your Program Meeting.

Click on each image below for instructions to set up your accounts.
