Advance Standing Certification

College Credit for Training/Certifications

Moraine Park students can receive college credit for previous training or active certifications in a several MPTC program areas. Information on requesting this credit and submitting the required verification is included below. Credit for the 617-114 CAD 3D Solid Works course is available* to students that hold one of the certifications below.

  • Certified SolidWorks Associate (CWSA)
  • Certified SolidWorks Professional (CSWP)

*Students must be actively enrolled in an MPTC degree, diploma, or certificate that includes the 617-114 CAD 3D SolidWorks course as a graduate requirement.

To request credit, please complete the Advanced Standing Credit Request Form and attach a copy of your SolidWorks certification.

Credit for the 469-347 Safety Applications for Utilities I course (in both the Electrical Power Distribution and Gas Utility programs) is available for students holding an active OSHA 30 certification.

To request credit, please complete the Advanced Standing Credit Request Form and attach a copy of your active OSHA 30 certification.

Commercial Driver’s License for Electrical Power Distribution/Gas Utility Construction and Service programs
Credit for the 413-103 Commercial Driver’s License Preparation course in MPTC’s Electrical Power Distribution and Gas Utility Construction and Service programs is available to student’s holding a active State of Wisconsin Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL)

To request credit, please complete the Advance Standing Credit Request Form and attach a copy of your active Wisconsin CDL Class A license

Credit for the 316-148 Sanitation and Safety course in MPTC’s Culinary Arts programs is available to students holding an active Food Safety Manager certification recognized by Wisconsin’s Department of Agriculture, Trade, and Consumer Protection (see list of eligible certification exams below.)

To request credit, please complete the Advance Standing Credit Request Form and attach documentation verifying completion of an eligible Food Manager Certification Exam.

Credit for the 543-300 Nursing Assistant course in MPTC’s Nursing programs is available to students providing verification of completed Nursing Assistant training as indicated on the state of Wisconsin’s Nurse Aide Registry.

To request credit, please complete the Advance Standing Credit Request Form and attach your Nurse Aide certification or a screenshot of your Registry listing as found on the state of Wisconsin’s Nurse Aide Registry website (see sample below.)

Students who have completed a Nursing Assistant course at a school other than MPTC should request official transcripts be sent to MPTC from that school. Information on submitting official transcripts to MPTC can be found here: Submit Transcripts to MPTC
