Crowns: Celebrating Natural Black Hair

February 1 @ 11:30 am - 12:30 pm

The Crowns exhibit showcases photographs of Black men, women, and children of Fond du Lac County, with a quote from each individual explaining why they love their natural Black hair. The exhibit was inspired by the Crown Act, an initiative raising awareness of hair discrimination among people of color, especially Black women.

This is exhibit will be on display, accompanied by a presentation on the history of Black hair and beauty, and the progression of the health and beauty industry toward providing options for all skin tones. Gain a better understanding of the significance of Black hair while celebrating its beauty!
