Eamonn O’Keefe, Principal at St. Mary Springs Academy
“Teamwork makes the dream work. We have a phenomenal team at St Mary’s: open-minded educators and kids who are eager to try new things and learn. Still, without a partner like Moraine Park, we couldn’t offer the facilities and teacher expertise our students experience on campus.”

Bryant Bednarik, Principal at Berlin High School

Morgan Schueler’s Early Academic Success
Morgan Schueler always knew she wanted to go to college to pursue her marketing dreams, and when the opportunity arose to fast-track the process, she jumped at the chance.
While in high school, Schueler earned 39 Dual Enrollment credits through Dual Credit and Start College Now at no cost. She found herself halfway through the program and decided to personally invest in her education, covering the expenses for the remaining 32 credits required to complete the program.
By the time she earned her diploma from Princeton High School, she had also earned her associate degree in Business Management from Moraine Park.

Course Curriculum
Each dual credit teacher will have their own account in Canvas. Prior to the course starting, teachers are responsible for copying the course content from the Master course shells in Canvas into their own unique shells in Canvas. Teachers can then copy that content into their preferred Learning Management System. While teachers are not required to use MPTC’s Canvas throughout the course, they are required to use 100% of MPTC’s curriculum and the most updated curriculum will always be in Canvas.
Banner
Dual credit teachers will use Banner self-service to check their rosters and submit final grades. Specific deadlines for when grades are due in Banner are in the dual credit agreement.
Drops & Withdrawals
There are set deadlines for students to be able to drop (no record on their MPTC transcript) and withdraw (W on their MPTC transcript). These deadlines and dates are communicated to dual credit teachers and included in the registration video students watch prior to registering. If at any point during the course a student leaves the district, has a schedule change, is failing or an extenuation circumstance notify the K-12 department immediately.

Expectations and Required Steps for High School Partners
1. Annual Agreement Form Submissions
To ensure a successful and compliant dual enrollment experience, all high school partners are expected to follow a straightforward annual process involving two key forms.
- Dual Credit Agreement Form
- Principal Agreement Form
Completion of both forms is essential not only for internal coordination and accuracy but also for maintaining compliance with the Higher Learning Commission (HLC). All submitted forms are securely kept on file by our K–12 Team and are used to verify that dual credit courses meet accreditation standards and institutional requirements.

1.1 Dual Credit Agreement Form (Teachers – May)
Each May, high school dual credit teachers will receive an email containing a link to the Dual Credit Agreement Form. This form serves as a formal agreement and outlines the courses, terms, and sections the teacher intends to teach for dual credit in the upcoming academic year.
- Important: Teachers must complete the Dual Credit Agreement Form carefully and thoroughly to ensure accurate course setup before the school year begins.
- This form acts as a contract and plays a critical role in course scheduling and program planning.
1.2. Principal Agreement Form (Principals – October)
In October, high school principals will receive an email with a link to the Principal Agreement Form, which includes a summary of the dual credit teachers, courses, terms, and section details at their school.
- Principals are expected to review all information for accuracy and formally approve it by submitting the completed Principal Agreement Form.
- This step ensures administrative oversight and accountability at the school level.

To determine if you are eligible to teach a specific Moraine Park Technical College course, please submit the following information online.
