High School Dual Enrollment
Accelerate with Career Academies
Explore your dream career while you’re still in high school AND earn a certification along the way! With little to no cost, you can earn college-level credit through dual enrollment courses and get a head start on your career.
Dual enrollment course credits can be applied to a wide range of Career Academies, including Entrepreneurship, Pre-Health, Manufacturing and more. Individual courses with a self-pay option are available if dual enrollment courses aren’t offered at your high school.
- 188 students earned a Moraine Park certification through the High School Career Academies:
- Technical Diplomas: Emergency Medical Technician, Nursing Assistant, Automated Manufacturing Technician
- Certificates: Office Software Specialist, Payroll Assistant, Tax Preparer Assistant, and Pre-Health
- 6,255 students (duplicated) completed 15,711 Dual Credit (transcripted credits) credits.
- 249 students (unduplicated) took 1,501 Start College Now credits.
- 220 students completed 524 contracted credits.

Taking dual enrollment courses is a way for high school students to earn college credit while they’re still in school. They can apply dual enrollment credits (Dual Credit or Start College Now) to a Career Academy to earn a certification during their high school years. It also helps make college more affordable and allows students to experience college-level classes before they actually start college.

Option 1: Dual Credit Courses
High school students take classes at their high school during the school day and earn college credits from high school teachers who are certified to teach college-level courses.
Option 2: Start College Now Courses
High school students take classes in person at one of four Moraine Park locations or online, taught by Moraine Park faculty.
