The Anesthesia Technology program prepares individuals for a rewarding career as an integral member of the anesthesia care team. This allied health profession focuses on both fundamental and advanced clinical procedures that support anesthesia providers in delivering safe and efficient patient care during surgical and medical procedures.
What You’ll Learn
Students in this program gain proficiency in the acquisition, preparation, and application of specialized equipment essential for anesthesia delivery. The curriculum emphasizes cognitive skills in anatomy and physiology, pathophysiology, pharmacology, and the principles of anesthesia technology. Learners develop the ability to exercise independent judgment and respond rapidly to changing patient conditions in dynamic clinical environments.
Graduates of the program are trained to work under the direction of anesthesia providers, demonstrating professionalism in all patient and staff interactions. This program equips students with the technical expertise and critical thinking skills necessary to ensure optimal outcomes in anesthesia care.
