Dual Enrollment for Homeschool Students

Homeschooled students may participate in Moraine Park’s High School Career Academies through the self-pay model.

  1. Throughout the year, utilize career exploration opportunities to determine career interests.
  2. Fall of Sophomore year, create a pathway of courses for career interest and review available Moraine Park Career Academies.
  3. Contact a recruiter to discuss academies of interest and, if applicable, apply to an academy program. 
  4. Schedule your courses with the Academy Enrollment Specialist for your Junior or Senior year.
  5. Register for MPTC Courses
    Fill out the Moraine Park registration form for the Fall and Spring courses you’re taking.
  6. Sign Up for Dual Credit Courses
    WI State Statute 118.53 states that you are eligible to take two courses at your home district. Those two courses could be dual credit courses that are offered at your high school. Please schedule an appointment with your home district high school counselor.

Release of Educational Records

Your student will need to complete a Student Authorization for Release of Educational Records form if they would like to release educational information to a parent or other third party. Moraine Park is not able to discuss student records or information with parents unless there is a signed form on file.

College Level Examination Program (CLEP) Exams

MPTC offers CLEP exam testing at all 3 campuses for students interested in pursuing college credit through the College Level Examination Program (CLEP).  Visit the College Board website and MPTC’s CLEP webpage for more information.

Career and Employment Center

Visit our Career Center to take a career assessment. This will help you if you’re unsure of what to study in college.

Class Registration

View details on how your child under 16 can take classes at MPTC. Please note, the enrollment process for homeschooled high school students is very similar to public/private school students. However, homeschooled high school students do not get state funding for college courses, and they may take classes during the day.

Helpful Tips for Homeschool Transcripts

Transcripts you provide will need to include the following information:

  • Student’s name
  • Student’s date of birth
  • The homeschool name (if applicable)
  • The homeschool address and phone number
  • Graduation date (use projected graduation date for pre-graduation transcripts)
  • Courses completed (including course title, final grade, and credit earned)
  • Total number of credits
  • GPA (both cumulative and, if organized by year, for each year)
  • Grading scale
  • Home school parent’s signature and date the transcript was created
