Construction Management Technology Program

Throughout the program, you’ll gain hands-on experience in project planning, cost control, document management, and team supervision. You’ll also learn how to effectively collaborate with subcontractors, suppliers, and field staff to keep projects on schedule and within budget. By combining construction knowledge with practical management skills, you’ll be prepared to lead projects that are completed safely, efficiently, and cost-effectively.

In this program, students will:

• Analyze technical graphic and written information found in prints, specifications, building codes, regulations, manufacturers’ data and other contract documents.
• Apply accounting principles necessary to work within budget and assist with project buyout, management and cost accounting.
• Apply the sustainable construction and development solutions utilizing the Green Building Rating System.
• Comply with established company safety measures and OSHA regulations.
• Demonstrate technical knowledge of building materials, systems, and processes to provide for cost-effective management.
• Evaluate Quality Assurance techniques for building design, materials, and methods.
• Manage budget preparation and administration from project conception through completion.
• Manage construction personnel including subcontractors, suppliers and field staff to ensure timely, cost-effective project completion.
• Schedule human, physical and financial resources necessary for construction project activities.
