National Electrical Code Updates including SPS 316 Changes

Upcoming classes coming Spring 2024.

Each course provides the student with 8 hours of instruction related to change, additions, deletions in the current National Electrical Code. Instruction focuses on Chapters 1-9 of the NEC and SPS 316. Emphasizes code application as it relates to electrical residential, commercial, and industrial installations to determine compliance with the state and national electrical code. Each topic is presented in a PowerPoint format followed by discussion and questions related to code. Students should bring a copy of the most recent National Electrical Code book. Students will receive an updated copy of SPS 316.

Take all of the classes and you will complete the requirement of 24 hours of Continuing Education Units required by the Wisconsin Department of Safety and Professional Services for:

  • Master Electrician
  • Journeyman Electrician
  • Registered Electrician
  • Industrial Journeyman Electrician
  • Residential Master Electrician
  • Residential Journeyman Electrician
  • Commercial Electrical Inspector
  • UDC Electrical Inspector
