Student Awards

Recognizing your efforts in classes and extracurricular activities at Moraine Park is an important part of the college experience. Faculty and staff can nominate deserving students each year for the awards listed below. Award recipients are honored each spring at the annual Student Awards Banquet.

This award recognizes a student’s achievements in coursework as well as their classroom participation. This award is granted to students who have:

Enrollment in a technical diploma program
Completed at least one semester
Minimum GPA of 3.25

Honor MPTC students who have been recognized for going above and beyond in and outside of the classroom in volunteer service to their campus. This award is granted to students who have:

Notable involvement as either an officer/ active club member or non-club student
Demonstrated outstanding commitment in carrying out the responsibilities of their club throughout the academic year and/or by being involved in extracurricular college-related work
Minimum GPA of 2.5

Note: Students cannot receive more than one of the following: Technical Achievement, Campus Impact or Leadership & Service.

Students nominated for the Campus Impact Award who are a member of Student Government may be eligible for the Leadership and Service Award. This Award is reserved for students who served on Student Government as an officer or member at large who have a minimum GPA of 3.0. The Campus Impact Award nominations will be reviewed by the Student Involvement Specialists to determine if a student is qualified to receive the Leadership and Service Award. Students will not receive more than one award. Your recommendation will be taken in consideration as part of the review process. The Leadership and Service Award takes into consideration a student’s level of commitment to the college and their representation of the student body through their attendance and engagement in Student Government.
