Promising Futures

A degree is within reach, with debt-free tuition for eligible adults

Moraine Park’s Promising Futures program is based on the belief that attending college should be determined by a student’s potential rather than their financial resources.

Promising Futures ensures adult students* with the potential to succeed at the next level have that opportunity without the added burden of tuition debt. By providing debt-free tuition, Moraine Park’s Promising Futures program will encourage more students to make the promise to reach their potential.

The Promising Futures program also creates a partnership between the student and Moraine Park, so together we can work to make college possible.

Moraine Park promises to provide up to 10 consecutive semesters (not including summer**) of debt-free tuition. We also promise to provide additional services including mentoring, tutoring, assistance with financial aid filing, and other support services.

TO BE ELIGIBLE, STUDENTS:

• Must reside within the Moraine Park Technical College District.
• Must be between 24 and 64 years of age.
• Not have previously earned an associate or baccalaureate degree.
• Be in good standing with previous financial loan commitments.
• Complete the FAFSA and be deemed Pell eligible.
• Have a minimum 2.25 GPA from previous college or high school coursework or pass college entry testing offered at MPTC.
• Enroll in and take at least 6 credits each semester.

TO REMAIN ELIGIBLE:

• Maintain a cumulative GPA of 2.25 or higher while attending Moraine Park.
• Maintain continuous enrollment for fall and spring semesters.
• Must remain Pell eligible.
• Stay in good standing with all College policies.

1. Apply for admission to Moraine Park Technical College at morainepark.edu
2. Complete your Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) at studentaid.ed.gov.
