Affording a Degree at Moraine Park Technical College IS possible with Promise.

HIGH SCHOOL SENIORS, this is for you!

The Moraine Park Promise Scholarships help make a college education a reality for high school seniors with limited financial resources.

Students do NOT need to apply for this scholarship, but must meet eligibility criteria and deadlines listed below.

Recipients are awarded $500 each semester, up to four semesters. (Summers excluded)

Promise Scholarships are awarded each fall. Selection is based on meeting all eligibility criteria and the highest grade point averages in the pool. Moraine Park will notify recipients by May 15 for the fall start.

Eligibility Criteria

  1. Graduate on-time from high school.
  2. Reside in Moraine Park’s district.
  3. Earn a cumulative GPA of 2.50 or higher by the end of junior year.
  4. Complete program admissions (in an aid eligible program) by May 1.
  5. Complete the Financial Aid process by May 1, and be Pell Grant eligible.

Note: Pell Grant eligibility is determined after completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Pell Grants are from the U.S. Department of Education for low-income students who display exceptional financial need.

Students who are offered the Promise Scholarship must:

  1. Enroll full-time (12 credits minimum) at Moraine Park.
  2. Maintain a cumulative GPA of 2.50 or higher while at Moraine Park.
  3. Complete two hours of volunteer time each semester as part of a student club or student government.
