Important Information to Know
Fabrication Technologies is offered only in Fond du Lac.
Field Day
There is no field day required, however you will get a lab tour with orientation.
Tool/Uniforms
Tools & supplies are required for this program. Please keep in mind that all of the clothes you wear to class must be 100% cotton or leather. No shorts or synthetic materials are allowed.
Functional Abilities
To be successful in this program, you need to have good attention to detail, basic math skills and good visual acuity. Visual acuity is important to passing your welding courses as well as to your success as a welder. If you struggle to read a newspaper or small print up close, it is likely you will struggle to weld a joint. In the welding industry, a Jaeger eye test is sometimes required. If you question your visual acuity, we suggest that you get an eye test of talk to a doctor regarding your vision.
