IT Software Developer Program Information

Important Information to Know

IT Software Developer is an Associate Degree program. Classes are delivered to the West Bend and Fond du Lac campuses through video conference format as well as online. Please note, there are two different online offerings that you may see: synchronous and asynchronous. Synchronous classes have some scheduled live class sessions that you join via your computer. Asynchronous classes are completely online, without scheduled sessions.

Classes are typically 16-weeks in duration and follow a specific sequence.  It is important to work with your Academic Advisor when you select courses each semester, especially if you are attending part-time.  One mistake could delay your graduation by a full year.

There are also required general education courses (i.e. English, Psychology, and Technical Reporting) that are available in 8- or 16-week offerings.  These classes have more flexibility in duration, scheduling, and location.

This program does not teach gaming, although you will learn how to use software often used for gaming. This program focuses on the business side of software development.

Please contact your Program Advisor to schedule a meeting so we can discuss your schedule and other important details.
