Important Information to Know
Help Desk Support courses are typically 8 weeks long and have a specific sequence each semester. Classes are offered at both the West Bend and Fond du Lac campuses. A few core classes are offered online only.
There are also required general education courses (i.e. English and Technical Reporting) that are available in 8- or 16-week offerings. These classes have more flexibility in duration, scheduling, and location.
Technology Requirements
- Access to high-speed internet (anywhere, even on-campus is fine)
- Access to Windows 10 (or higher) PC is required
- Office 365 (free from the college)
- Other software is available for free and explained by faculty
PC Requirements
- Windows 10 (or higher) or MacBook capable of running Windows in a virtual environment (No M1 or M2 processors)
- 16 GB of RAM
- At least 250 GB Hard drive (500 GB recommended to support virtual machine usage)
- Dual-core processor (quad-core of higher recommended to support virtual machine usage)
- Chromebooks are not compatible with program requirements.
