Moraine Park’s Continued Growth Drives 8% Enrollment Increase and Highest Headcount in Five Years

Moraine Park Technical College continues to see significant improvements in overall enrollment trends for the spring 2026 semester.  

To date, the College is noting aeight percent increase in full-time equivalent (FTE) enrollments and the highest year-to-date program student headcount in five years. 

As of February 1, the College is showing growth in the following key areas: 

  • Overall program headcount is up by over nine percent, and the growth is expected to remain steady into the fall 2026 semester. 
    • Program student headcount comparison: 
      • 2022-23 – 3,233 
      • 2023-24 – 3,389 
      • 2024-25 – 3,571 
      • 2025-26 – 3,887 
  • High school students taking advantage of dual credit and Start College Now opportunities have increased by six percent. 
  • The number of students enrolled directly from local high schools with dual enrollment credits rose from 240 in 2024-25 to 335 in 2025-26. 
  • The Moraine Park Foundation has distributed $275,408 in scholarship aid. 
  • Moraine Park’s Apprenticeship programs continue to grow at a steady rate, showing a year-over-year headcount growth of approximately three percent. 
  • The online Department of Corrections program saw a nine percent increase in FTE. 
  • Undergraduate student retention at Moraine Park remains high, with over 80 percent of eligible fall term students returning in spring.

We are proud of the work we do, and even prouder of our students and alumni, whose dedication and hard work positively represent Moraine Park every day in the communities they serve.” 

Applications for the fall 2026 semester are currently being accepted, and College Preview Days (for students grades 11 and 12) are scheduled for this spring.
