DAVIS-PUTTER SCHOLARSHIP FUND (DUE BY APRIL 1ST)
The Davis-Putter Scholarship Fund provides financial support for students who are active and emerging organizers in progressive movements for liberation, self-determination and social and economic justice in their communities. These need-based scholarships are awarded to students who are enrolled at a college or university or in a trade or technical program.
Award: Up to $15,000
Eligibility: Applicants need to be involved in movements for progressive social change, enrolled in a degree, trade or training program, and have financial need.
HISPANIC SCHOLARSHIP FUND (DUE DECEMBER AND JANUARY)
Info: The HSF Scholarship is designed to assist students of Hispanic heritage obtain a college degree. Scholarships are available, on a competitive basis, to High school seniors, Undergraduate students (all years), Community college students transferring to four-year universities, and Graduate Students
Award: Awards vary from $500 to $5,000
Eligibility:
- The HSF Scholar Program is open to students of all races that identify as being of Hispanic Heritage.
- U.S. citizen, permanent legal resident, or DACA
- Minimum of 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale (or equivalent) for high school students; minimum of 2.5 GPA on a 4.0 scale (or equivalent) for college and graduate students
- Plan to enroll full-time in an accredited, public or not-for-profit, four-year university, or graduate school, in the US, for the 2025-2026 academic year
- Submit the FAFSA or state-based financial aid forms (if applicable)
SCHOLARSHIP AMERICA DREAM AWARD (DUE MID DECEMBER)
Info: Scholarship America’s Dream Award is a renewable scholarship fund for students in their sophomore year and beyond — with growing, renewable awards that help ensure talented students can afford to complete the degree programs they have started.
Award: Awards vary from $5,000 a $15,000 depending on the financial necessity of the individual
Eligibility:
- Be at least 17 years of age. Please note high school seniors are not eligible.
- Be U.S. citizens, U.S. permanent residents (holders of a Permanent Resident Card), or individuals granted deferred action status under the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals Program (DACA).
- Current college undergraduates who plan to enroll in full-time undergraduate study at an accredited two- or four-year college, university or vocational-technical school in the United States for the entire 2025-2026 academic year.
- Be studying to obtain their first Associate’s or first Bachelor’s degree.
- Have a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale (or its equivalent).
- Demonstrate financial need.
AUTOMOTIVE HALL OF FAME SCHOLARSHIP (DUE BY JUNE)
Info: This program has specific scholarships for incoming freshmen and upper-level undergraduate students. All of the scholarships are based on financial needs and with the usual minimum GPA requirement of 3.0
Award: Depends on financial needs
Eligibility:
- Submit a completed application form indicating a sincere interest in an automotive career.
- Provide an official transcript of all academic work.
- Submit two letters of recommendation supporting your automotive interests.
- Submit a letter of acceptance for an associate, bachelor, or masters program.
- Be accepted at an accredited college, university or trade school within the United States at the time of application.
- Students attending a technical training school may also apply (trade school should equal a two-year associate program).
- Student must be a United States citizen or in the United States on a Student Visa.
- Must be enrolled full-time.
- Must have 3.0 GPA or higher.
LULAC NATIONAL SCHOLARSHIP FUND (DUE BY MARCH 31ST)
Info: LULAC National Scholarship Fund (LNSF) helps youth in underserved communities make the dream of college enrollment a reality.
Award: Ranging from $250 to $2000
Eligibility:
- Must be a U.S. citizen, legal permanent resident, or be granted Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA).
- Must have applied to or be enrolled as a full-time student in a college or university, including 2-year colleges, or vocational schools that lead to an associate’s degree. Graduate students must have applied to or be enrolled as a part-time student in a college or university.
- A student will not be eligible for a scholarship if he/she is related to a scholarship committee member, the Council President, or an individual contributor to the local funds of the Council.
- Must have a participating LULAC Council in your area to be considered for the scholarship. Please check the list of participating LULAC Councils before accessing the application. If there is not a LULAC Council in your area, you are not eligible for consideration.
LA UNIDAD LATINA FOUNDATION (LULF) (SPRING)
Info: La Unidad Latina Foundation propels students dedicated to advancing the Latino community from High School to College graduation and beyond. LULF provides scholarship programs designed to close the college completion gap.
Award: Ranging from $500 to $2000
WISCONSIN HISPANIC SCHOLARSHIP FOUNDATION, INC. (WHSF) / MEXICAN FIESTA (SPRING)
Info: The Wisconsin Hispanic Scholarship Foundation, Inc. (WHSF)/Mexican Fiesta provides a cultural, educational and literary environment to enhance and open opportunities to improve academic success and quality of life of the Hispanic community while promoting a better understanding of the arts, history, literature, economic development, and perpetuation of Hispanic culture in the metro Milwaukee area, as well as throughout the state and the country.
Eligibility:
- Must be a Wisconsin resident
- Must have a minimum of 2.7 GPA, must have applied to or be enrolled in a Wisconsin college/university
- Must be a full-time student. (12 credits or more)
- Must complete a minimum of 20 hours of volunteer service for the WHSF/Mexican Fiesta. (Dates and times to be determined by the Committee)
- Must be a minimum of 25% of Hispanic descent
- College/University applicant must submit current official or unofficial transcripts
- High school senior’s applicant must submit current official or unofficial transcripts, acceptance letter and copy of ACT or SAT score report
- Attend the Student Informational Forum Decisions of Today, Impact of Tomorrow (Not mandatory)
MEMORIAL GO-KART INC. SCHOLARSHIP (DUE BY APRIL)
Info: The Memorial Go-Kart Scholarship was established in 2008 and is the result of the Annual Memorial Go-Kart (MGK) Racing Season fundraiser. Each year, scholarships are awarded to multiple Southeast Wisconsin High School students who are pursuing continuing education for a career in the area of trades.
Eligibility:
- Scholarship recipients are students of a: Washington, Fond du Lac, Sheboygan, Ozaukee, Milwaukee, Waukesha or Dodge Wisconsin County High School with a minimum GPA average of 2.5
- Scholarship awards will be made on an objective and nondiscriminatory basis. This opportunity is open to all students, regardless of their diversity. Using religion, race, ethnic origin, or gender as criteria for this scholarship will not be permitted
- Recipients enrolled in a 2-year program, certificate program, or another credited program from a vocational/technical school in the trades. Example: Carpenter, electrician, machinist, mechanic, or metal fabricator.
MCDONALD’S HACER® NATIONAL SCHOLARSHIP (DUE FEB 4TH)
Info: McDonald’s HACER Scholarship was created to grant eligible Hispanic students financial aid so they can achieve their dreams through higher education. Scholarship recipients are selected by Academic achievement, Financial need, Community involvement, and Personal qualities and strengths as portrayed in a personal interview, either in‑person or by phone. Please read the website for more information.
Award: Ranging from $5,000 to $100,000
Eligibility: This scholarship is for legal U.S. residents who are currently high school seniors. You must be under 21 years old and have a minimum GPA of 2.8. You must have at least one parent of Hispanic heritage. You must be willing to disclose other scholarship programs that you’ve applied for. You must be eligible to attend a two or four-year college or university with a full-time course of study. You’ll need to enroll and attend an accredited institution in the academic year after your selection (verification needed, as scholarship funds are paid directly to the schools.)
