Moraine Park has our own NEW Academic Honor Society!

Did you know?

  • Membership is free for all students with a minimum of 12 MPTC credits and a GPA of 3.5 or above.
  • Membership is a special honor for outstanding students.
  • MPTC will present to you a silver (GPA of 3.5-3.74) or gold (GPA of 3.75-4.0) honor cord to wear at graduation.
  • Members are invited to participate in leadership learning events each semester.
  • Members are invited to participate in community service projects each semester.

All MPTC Academic Honor Society members also have the option to join Phi Theta Kappa (PTK) Honor Society. This is the worlds largest honor society for two-year college students.

  • Your local chapter at Moraine Park Technical College is the Beta Mu Kappa Chapter.
  • As a member, your academic excellence will be recognized with a Golden Key Membership Pin, membership certificate, notation of membership on your transcripts and diploma, and the opportunity to purchase and wear Phi Theta Kappa regalia at graduation.
  • Each student pays a one-time membership fee of $65.00. *Please note, Golden Opportunity scholarships to cover $60 of your membership fee are available each semester.
  • Each semester eligible students will receive a personal email invitation for instructions on joining PTK.
