Our CLEP Testing Center is open to the public! Moraine Park offers CLEP Testing for both MPTC students and community members at all 3 MPTC campuses (Fond du Lac, West Bend, and Beaver Dam.)
Many students from other schools have taken CLEP Exams at MPTC to complete requirements at their college/university. MPTC students can also complete CLEP Exams to earn college credit saving time in the classroom and money spent on tuition and fees!
MPTC awards college credit for the successful completion of exams included in the list below as long as the exam fulfills a requirement within the student’s MPTC program of study. A score of 50 or higher on the exam is needed to award MPTC credit.

While not all CLEP Exams are eligible for MPTC credit, individuals using the MPTC CLEP Testing Center can attempt any CLEP Exam offered by the College Board. Use the button below to see the CLEP Exams currently offered by the College Board.
Students using MPTC’s CLEP Testing Center purchase their CLEP Exam directly from the College Board (see instructions below). Currently CLEP Exams cost $93 each. (this does not include the separate fee charged by testing center administrating the exam) Effective July 1, 2024, the CLEP® exam fee will be $95
In addition to the fee charged by the College Board for the CLEP Exam, MPTC charges a $25 administrative fee to administer the CLEP Exam. This fee is separate from and in addition to the fee paid directly to the College Board for the Exam.
Information on payment of the Testing Center administrative fee will be included in the confirmation email sent once you request an Exam date in MPTC’s Testing Center.
Advance registration is required to access the CLEP Testing Center.
Registration is a 2-step process. Individuals first purchase a CLEP Exam from the College Board and then request a testing time slot from MPTC.
Follow the Steps Below to Register for an MPTC CLEP Exam:
Step One – CLEP test takers purchase their CLEP Exam directly from College Board.
Step Two – Once you purchase your CLEP Exam from College Board, complete MPTC’s Request Form to reserve a slot in MPTC’s CLEP Testing Center. Please allow 2 business days for MPTC to receive and process your CLEP Exam request.
Upon submission of your Testing Center request, you will receive email confirmation of your Exam Time, Date, and Location. This email will also contain information about MPTC’s CLEP Testing process.
