Instructions for New Applicants:

Create an account (FSA ID) and assist contributors, such as your parent(s) or spouse, in creating an FSA ID.

Requirements for the 2026-2027 FAFSA Application (August 2026-July 2027):

Independent Students Should Bring:

Government-issued photo ID
2024 tax forms and W-2(s)
Records of child support received
Net worth of investments, businesses, and farms
Current balances of cash, savings, and checking accounts
If married: spouse’s Social Security number, date of birth, email address, and tax information if filed separately

Dependent Students Should Bring:

Government-issued photo ID
Parent contributor’s FSA ID (StudentAid.gov account) created before the appointment
2024 tax forms and W-2(s) for the student and parent contributor(s)
Records of child support received
Net worth of investments, businesses, and farms
Current balances of cash, savings, and checking accounts
Parent contributor’s Social Security number, date of birth, and email address
