Thank you for your interest in Moraine Park! Follow these easy admission steps to begin your journey toward a Moraine Park degree, diploma, or certificate.

1. Submit Application

Submit your application online by selecting the “Apply Online Now” button.

2. Submit Transcripts

Request that all official high school transcripts, or GED/HSED transcript and/or college transcripts be submitted to Moraine Park Technical College's Admissions Office.

Before submitting this form, review the respective high school or college website to confirm the required payment and request process. It may require electronic submission.

3. Placement Assessment

Take a Placement Assessment, such as Accuplacer, ACT or Compass.  MPTC offers ACCUPLACER placement assessment ($15 fee is non-refundable for no shows).  Students in select manufacturing and engineering programs (CNC, Civil Engineering, Fabrication Technologies, Mechanical Design, Mechatronics, Metal Fabrication, Process Engineering, and Welding) are required to take the METTE placement.  The METTE placement is offered by MPTC.

Most certificate programs do NOT require a placement assessment. Students will be notified if additional steps are needed.

4. Attend a Program Orientation

Program orientations are offered throughout the year.  Lead by the advisor, you will be introduced to your program, the college, and resources to help you get started.  Ask for Student Services at 1-800-472-4554 to schedule your program orientation.

5. Complete any Additional Requirements

Depending upon your chosen program, there may be additional admission requirements to complete the admissions process. Follow the admissions process related to your program for more information about what is needed.

 

Application Deadlines

Some programs experience capacity limitations periodically.  Application acceptance for these programs are evaluated every term.

Based upon the number of applications received and capacity limitations, these programs may choose to close applications.  Students are encouraged to apply early.
