Dual enrollment offers high school students an excellent opportunity to earn college credits while still in high school. Moraine Park has multiple dual enrollment programs that allow students to jumpstart their college education, explore potential careers, earn credentials and shorten the time required to complete a degree. One of the most beneficial dual enrollment opportunities at Moraine Park Technical College is the Start College Now program.
Start College Now – Deadline Approaching
The Start College Now program allows eligible 11th and 12th-grade students currently enrolled in a Wisconsin public high school to take college courses at Moraine Park while simultaneously earning high school and college credits.
With Start College Now, the student’s school district covers 100% of tuition, fees, required textbooks, and course materials. However, students who do not successfully complete their courses may be responsible for reimbursing the school district for the associated costs.
Students must apply directly through their high school for approval. The deadline to apply for the Start College Now program is February 28. Don’t miss this chance to advance your education at no cost to you or your family. For more details, speak with your high school counselor or contact a Moraine Park recruiter at recruitment@morainepark.edu.
“I really enjoyed my graphic arts classes my freshman year of high school and quickly learned that I could combine a lot of the skills learned in those classes,” Miya Grunert, Start College Now student from Ripon High School, said. “When the high school photoshop class would not fit in my schedule, my counselor recommended the Start College Now Program at Moraine Park. After that class, I knew that I wanted to continue with the Graphic Design program at Moraine Park.”
