Moraine Park Technical College’s Electrical Power Distribution (EPD) program hosted the College’s fourth in-state Wisconsin Technical College System EPD Rodeo—a hands-on skills competition held at the Beaver Dam Campus on April 9.

This year’s event brought together 63 students from Moraine Park, Blackhawk, Northcentral, and Milwaukee Area Technical Colleges, challenging them to demonstrate their climbing ability, precision, and problem-solving through eight field events: Bell Run, Fill and Carry, Cant Hook Pole Roll, Weighted Handline, Egg Climb, Obstacle Climb, Fuse Change and Brace and Bit.

Judges included former instructors and professionals from across Wisconsin’s utility and energy industries, offering students feedback and an opportunity to engage with leaders in the field.

This year, Moraine Park Technical College’s EPD afternoon cohort won the trophy for the highest combined scores.
