The Moraine Park Foundation received in-kind donations from GF Health Products, Inc. (Basic American by Graham-Field brand) valued at $23,000. The gift will help support the Fond du Lac Health and Human Services equipment campaign, which will provide the program spaces with updated equipment and technology.

Moraine Park’s new Health and Human Services wing on the Fond du Lac Campus is a 44,926-square-foot project, including an 8,908-square-foot addition, will modernize classrooms, labs and simulation spaces to reflect real-world settings found in hospitals, long-term care facilities, clinics and emergency service areas. An additional 7,048-square-foot renovation, separate from the referendum budget, will house general science education and cosmetology classrooms.

The new facility will serve more than 500 students annually across multiple programs, including Criminal Justice, Early Childhood Education, Emergency Medical Services, Medical Assistant, Medical Lab Technician, Nursing, Radiography, Respiratory Therapy and Surgical Technology—many of whom will go on to build their health care careers right here in our district communities.

GF Health Products is proud to support the new Health and Human Services wing at Moraine Park Technical College,” Kurt Hellman, SRVP manufacturing emeritus at GF, said. “As one of the nation’s leading manufacturers of medical products, this campaign directly supports our mission to enhance the quality of life for the people who use our products and for those who care for them. We have been a part of the Fond du Lac community for over 30 years, and during my time leading our Fond du Lac facility, I’ve had the opportunity to work with so many dedicated individuals at Moraine Park. Whether I was working with them to provide instruction to our team, serving with them on community committees, or witnessing the skills gained when employing graduates from various programs, I’ve seen firsthand the positive impacts of their efforts and we’re excited to see the completion of this project, knowing products made locally are contributing to this world-class learning center.”

The Moraine Park Foundation spearheaded the $750,000 campaign to fund the equipment for the Health and Human Services wing. This expense was intentionally separated from the referendum dollars to help keep the taxpayer burden at a minimum. The Foundation is currently connecting with district partners to help meet the equipment needs. To date, five partners have contributed over $300,000 toward meeting these equipment needs.
