Cost of Your Education

The first step in determining your financial need is to calculate the estimated cost of attendance at Moraine Park Technical College. These budgets include tuition and fees, books and supplies, board, and other expenses.

Note: Your student bill is the best and most accurate statement of direct educational expenses.

Financial Aid Eligible Program Costs

Tuition

Tuition is based on full-time enrollment — 12 credits. The tuition cost is billed on a semester basis.

Books and Supplies

The estimate of books and supplies is based on average cost for program students. Your actual costs may be more or less than the average costs based on your specific course requirements.

Board

There are two housing costs factored into the cost of education, either living with parents or living away from home. These are costs computed based on a nine month semester.

Personal — Day-to-day living expenses that do not fall into any other category, such as clothing, medical, recreational expenses, toiletries and insurance.

Transportation — Roughly based on trips to school with standard course load.

Approximate school costs for a full-time student during a nine-month academic year are:

Living with Parents
Program Fees $3,506
Board $2,785
Books $1,352
Personal Expenses $1,699
Transportation $1,380
TOTAL $10,722
Living Away From Home
Program Fees $3,506
Board $6,146
Books $1,352
Personal Expenses $1,699
Transportation $1,380
TOTAL $14,083

Program Fees: The program fees for 2011-2012 are $111.85 per credit. Out-of-state residents add an additional $55.95 per credit for nonresident tuition. Materials fees are also charged in each class. All of these fees are legislated by the Wisconsin Technical College System Board.
