Health and Human Services Wing and Horicon
Moraine Park Technical College’s new Health and Human Services wing on the Fond du Lac Campus is now welcoming students for the fall 2026 semester. The College’s fourth referendum-funded project has transformed health and human services education with modern classrooms, advanced simulation labs and hands-on training spaces designed to mirror today’s health care settings.
The 44,926-square-foot project serves more than 500 students annually across 10 programs, including Criminal Justice, Early Childhood Education, Emergency Medical Services, Medical Assistant, Medical Lab Technician, Nursing, Nursing Assistant, Radiography, Respiratory Therapy and Surgical Technology. The new learning environment allows students to practice with industry-standard equipment and gain experience in realistic settings that prepare them for the workforce.
The Health and Human Services wing completes the four projects approved by district voters through the 2022 referendum. Thanks to careful planning and responsible financial stewardship, the College identified savings that made it possible to move forward with a fifth and final project: expanding the Horicon Regional Center to include Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) training.
Construction on the Horicon expansion is underway and is expected to be completed in summer 2027. The project will feature a dedicated driving track, loading dock for trailer training, additional classroom space and an apparatus bay to support hands-on, high-demand workforce training. Students are expected to begin learning in the new spaces during the fall 2027 semester.
Together, these projects represent a lasting investment in the region’s future—creating modern learning environments that prepare students for high-demand careers.
Health Equipment Campaign
While the 2022 referendum funded construction of the new Health and Human Services wing, the Moraine Park Foundation launched a $750,000 campaign to equip the facility with advanced medical technology and hands-on training tools. Thanks to the generosity of community partners and donors, the campaign has secured $563,795 in gifts and pledges, bringing the College closer to its goal of providing students with the same equipment they will use in today’s hospitals, clinics and emergency care settings.
