MPTC and Recycle That Stuff to Host Electronics Recycling Event

In celebration of Earth Day, Moraine Park is partnering with Recycle That Stuff Resource Solutions to host an Electronics Recycling Event on Wednesday, April 22. The event will take place on the College’s Fond du Lac Campus in the O parking lot from 8 a.m.- 12 p.m.

The event will accept the following items for free:

  • Computer Towers
  • Tablets/ eReaders
  • Satellite Boxes
  • Circuit Boards
  • Cords/Wire
  • Cell Phones
  • Power Supplies
  • VCRS/DVD Players
  • Laptops Routers
  • Telephones
  • ipods
  • Audio Equipment
  • Desktop Printers
  • Video Gaming Devices
  • Most Small Electronics

The following items can be recycled for a fee (prices reflected are per item)

  • Flat & Tube Computer Monitors—$20
  • Flat & Tube TVs (29” & Under)—$20
  • Flat & Tube TVs (30”- 49”)—$40
  • Flat & Tube TVs (50”- 60”)—$60
  • Wood Console & Projection TVs$60
    • Please note: Any TV Larger than 60 inches is billed at a $60 + additional per-inch fee.
  • Data Destruction—$10
  • Large Copy Machines / Printers—$15
  • Microwaves—$15
  • Dehumidifiers—$20
  • Dorm- Size Refrigerators / Window Air Conditioners*—$20
  • Ovens/ Stoves/ Dishwashers—$25
  • Clothes Washers / Dryers—$25

Not accepted at this event: smoke detectors, thermometers, thermostats, Batteries, light bulbs, full-size refrigerators, full-size freezers, or central air conditioning units.

Attendees should wipe down all materials before the event and stay in their vehicle—staff will unload items.

Additionally, Moraine Park’s IT students are also available to help with safe data destruction through the TECHConnect student group.

TECH Connect spring hours through May 14 are:

  • Thursdays, 5:30-6:30 p.m.—Fond du Lac Campus Room O123
  • Wednesdays, 11:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m.—West Bend Campus Room L153
