Moraine Park Technical College’s Esteban Mendoza, Economic & Workforce Development Welding instructor, was recently honored with the American Welding Society (AWS) Fox Valley Section Educator Award.
The American Welding Society is a nonprofit organization with a global mission: to advance the science, technology and application of welding and allied joining and cutting processes worldwide, including brazing, soldering and thermal spraying.
The AWS Section Educator Award recognizes outstanding welding instructors who go above and beyond in advancing welding knowledge and skills in their communities. Presented annually at the district level, the award celebrates exceptional educators at high schools, trade schools, technical institutes and community colleges across the nation.
Mendoza received the award for his excellence in teaching, leadership and commitment to developing skilled welders.
