Moraine Park Earns Recognition for Workplace Mental Health

FDL Campus

Moraine Park Technical College is celebrating an exciting milestone in employee wellbeing. The College’s first submission for the Wellness Council of Wisconsin’s (WCWI) Mental Health in the Workplace Certificate Program has been officially accepted.

The WCWI program helps employers create and sustain healthy work environments. Through a structured framework, it empowers organizations to build a culture of wellbeing that supports both employees and leadership in addressing mental health challenges.

“Earning recognition from the Wellness Council of Wisconsin is a meaningful affirmation of Moraine Park’s long-standing commitment to employee wellbeing,” Kristen Theisen, total rewards manager at Moraine Park, said. “It validates the intentional work we’ve done to embed mental health into offerings, culture, leadership practices and policies. This certificate reflects not just a milestone, but a shared belief across our College that wellbeing is foundational to a thriving workplace.”

Moraine Park will be recognized at the 2025 WCWI Annual Employee Well-Being Conference, held Dec. 2–3 in Madison, WI. The College has also been invited to participate as a Wellbeing Champion Sponsor, offering an opportunity to celebrate this achievement and connect with other organizations leading the way in workplace wellbeing.

“This recognition is just the beginning,” Theisen said. “It gives us momentum and a strong foundation to build on as we continue evolving our approach to wellbeing. We’re excited to keep growing—this opens the door to deeper conversations, stronger partnerships and more innovative strategies to support our employees. We are committed to making wellbeing a lasting part of our culture.”
