Moraine Park Technical College has named Steve Lindley, of West Bend, as the 2026 Distinguished Alumnus.
Lindley graduated from Moraine Park in 1980 with an associate of applied science degree in Industrial Engineering Technology and continued his education at Marquette University, earning a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering in 1994.
After graduating, he began his career as a numerical control programmer at Harnischfeger Corporation, now Komatsu Mining. He later advanced to roles as gear engineer and senior gear engineer. In 1997, Lindley joined the Falk Corporation—now part of Regal Rexnord Corporation—where he currently serves as a principal engineer in gear manufacturing engineering.
Lindley is an active member of the American Gear Manufacturers Association, serving on the Accuracy and Nomenclature Committee and the Cutting Tools Committee. He has chaired the Accuracy and Nomenclature Committee since 2010.
In addition to his engineering work, Lindley serves the Town of West Bend as an elected town supervisor. He was appointed to fill an unexpired term in 2022, elected to a full term in 2023 and then reelected in 2025.
Lindley’s contributions, commitment and passion for technical education made him an ideal recipient for Moraine Park’s 2026 Distinguished Alumnus distinction. He will accept his award at the May 14 student awards banquet.
