Moraine Park Technical College welcomed 55 students from 15 area high schools in early April for its Trades Career Experience on the Fond du Lac Campus.

Designed to introduce high school students to hands-on careers, the event gave participants an inside look at a variety of in-demand programs. Students explored Architectural Technology, Automotive Technology, Electricity, Welding, Cosmetology and Culinary Arts through interactive activities led by Moraine Park instructors.

From working with tools and equipment to engaging in real-world scenarios, students experienced firsthand what it’s like to learn in a hands-on environment. The event highlighted the value of skilled trades and the many career pathways available at Moraine Park.

In addition to exploring programs, students heard from industry professionals Tracy and Jasmine from Holiday Automotive, who shared their personal journeys in the automotive field. Their insights gave students a deeper understanding of career opportunities and the skills needed to succeed in the industry.

Moraine Park extends its appreciation to all who helped make the event a success and to the schools that participated, including Beaver Dam High School, Central Wisconsin Christian, Dodgeland High School, Fond du Lac High School, Horace Mann High School/North Fond du Lac High School, Hustisford High School, Kettle Moraine Lutheran High School, Kewaskum High School, Lomira High School, Mayville High School, Northern Ozaukee Wisconsin Virtual Academy, St. Mary’s Springs Academy, Wayland Academy, West Bend West High School and Winnebago Lutheran Academy.

Events like the Trades Career Experience continue to inspire the next generation of skilled professionals by connecting students with hands-on learning opportunities and real-world career pathways.
