MPTC to Host Artificial Intelligence Lecture Series in West Bend

Join Moraine Park Technical College as they uncover the world of Artificial Intelligence (AI) at their 2026 West Bend Lecture Series. Events will occur every Thursday in February from 6 – 7:30 p.m. and will feature a different topic each week. The events are free and will be held at the College’s West Bend Campus, 2151 N. Main Street. 

The weekly topics are: 

  • February 5- Everyday AI: What it is and How to Use It, led by Phyllis King, PhD and Chief Strategist for AI Advancement at Waukesha County Technical College. 
  • February 12- Personal Use of AI: Tips and Tricks to Get You Started, led by Joe Desiderio, Dean of Business, IT, and AI at Moraine Park. 
  • February 19- Using AI for Grant Writing, led by Dr. Julie A. Mayrose and Tom Ziolkowski, Grants Coordinators at Moraine Park. 
  • February 26- The Dangers of AI, led by Lt. Thomas Lichtensteiger and Detective Brock Bateman of the West Bend Police Department Criminal Investigations Bureau.
