Moraine Park Technical College is celebrating the accomplishment of four Industrial Electrician Apprentices who successfully completed their four-year training. The group was recognized at a program completion ceremony in early November.
Industrial electrician apprentices spend four years working alongside a sponsored employer-partner to perform work on motors, motor control cabinets, power distribution and lighting within an industrial environment. Through their hands-on and classroom training, they learn to solve complex problems, apply math to daily tasks, and perform maintenance on electrical equipment–all while gaining knowledge of local and state codes and regulations.
The 2025 fall Industrial Electrician Apprentice completers are:
Chad Arndt — John Deere Horicon Works
Jonah Herrick — Seneca Foods
Aaron Kielisch — John Deere Horicon Works
Michael Wilhelms — Mercury Marine
Moraine Park apprentices are both students and employees sponsored by local employers, employer associations or labor groups—different from the College’s standard academic programming. MPTC apprentices are paid employees during the entirety of their training, and most apprentices complete their programs with full-time employment already secured.
