Moraine Park Technical College will host a West Bend Campus Open House–unveiling the new Advanced Manufacturing Center and updated spaces on Thursday, September 18, from 5:30-8 p.m.
The West Bend Campus Open House will include campus tours with hands-on demonstrations, live music from the Milwaukee Toolshed Band, and food trucks will be on-site for refreshment and snack purchases. The public is invited to come see the new campus spaces, learn more about Moraine Park’s innovative programs and connect with the College and community.
The College officially broke ground for the Advanced Manufacturing Center in May of 2024, and since then, the community has watched the West Bend Campus building transform.
This project, the third of four referendum initiatives approved by voters in the fall 2022 election cycle, is also the largest, featuring a 40,000-square-foot Advanced Manufacturing Center addition–a need identified by local business and industry partners. The new space features innovative solutions, advancements in robotics and cutting-edge technology.
Additional updates in this project include a new front entrance, an expanded conference center, the reconfiguration of the student services department, the construction of a school Spirit Store, the restoration of the former student services area into offices for campus leadership and the relocation of the Economic and Workforce Development Office.
The project was completed in August of 2025 and will welcome its first class of students to use the new state-of-the-art facilities this fall.
Moraine Park Technical College is approved to use up to $1.5 million from its general budget for facility improvements each year. The College develops a comprehensive three-year facilities plan to ensure these funds are directed toward planned updates as needed. Any facility updates exceeding the $1.5 million threshold require approval through a district referendum. The Advanced Manufacturing Center addition and the new main entrance were part of the approved 2022 College referendum. All other renovations are included in the College’s annual capital improvement plan and budget. The equipment for the Advanced Manufacturing Center is being supported by a $2 million campaign led by the Moraine Park Foundation. To date, 22 partners have contributed over $1.8 million toward meeting these equipment needs.
