Mailia Bachleitner, an MPTC student pursuing IT Software Development, will be the Student Speaker at Moraine Park’s 2023 Winter Commencement Ceremony. Bachleitner serves as Moraine Park’s District Student Ambassador where she connects with student representatives throughout the Wisconsin Technical College System (WTCS) and is a strong advocate for technical education.
After graduating from Beaver Dam High School, Bachleitner got married and started a family. Her job at the time lacked the opportunity for growth and she felt restless in her career. Ten years after graduating high school, Bachleitner developed new aspirations and decided to continue her education.
Her long-time video game hobby led her to enroll in the IT Software Development program at Moraine Park. She will graduate in spring 2024.
She is actively engaged in her student community, taking on various leadership roles such as Vice President of the District Student Government, Vice President of the Wisconsin Student Government and President of the IT Club.
Bachleitner plans to further her education by transferring to Milwaukee School of Engineering in the fall, where she will pursue a Bachelor of Science in Technical and Business Management.
