uPortal Error when logging into myMPTC

Are you seeing this error when trying to log into myMPTC using Chrome 53 or later?

uPortal Error

Sorry, but uPortal encountered an error that is preventing it from rendering. The error must be corrected by system administrators. Try again later

We’re still investigating the underlying cause for this error, but here’s a workaround that may work for you (Instructions for Windows only):

  1. Close out of ALL Chrome windows — including this one (IMPORTANT). You may want to open up this URL in Internet Explorer for easy reference.
  2. On your desktop, click on the Windows start menu (bottom left corner)
  3. Type ‘run‘ and paste in ‘%LOCALAPPDATA%\Google\Chrome\User Data‘ in the dialog box (without the single quotes). Click OK.









  1. Locate the Local State file, and rename it (ex: Local State_09-30-16)














  1. Open Chrome and try to log in again
