They will identify their personal roadblocks to being active bystanders when witnessing microaggressions. Additionally\, they will learn key concepts\, history\, and research related to why we don’t act. Participants will also analyze campus and department culture and practices evaluating preparedness to meet The Bystander Imperative. Lastly\,participants will take the foundations of their knowledge from thought to action. Together\, we will learn and practice techniques to intervene in microaggressive situations and develop a personal response phrase. The session will conclude with participants building communities of accountability for continued learning and future practice intervening.
