SUMMARY:Welding Processes GMAW Workshop 1
DESCRIPTION:This 5 week workshop is designed to provide students with basic knowledge of welding. It is ideal for skilled tradespeople\, career changers\, continuing education related training or those that just want to know more about welding. We will introduce you to welding terminology\, safety\, machine setup and shut down\, metal identification\, plasma cutting and GMAW welding processes and positons. Learn how welding equipment functions and then practice your new skills to make quality gas metal arc welds on metals of different thicknesses. Other welding processes may be explored with the permission of the instructor. \nThis class meets Mondays\, September 30\, October 7\, 14\, 21 and 28\, 2019

DESCRIPTION:Donations for Christmas in a Shoebox for the US Military can be dropped off on the Beaver Dam Campus in Room K-323 NOW through Friday\, November 8.  \n*All items must be new and no larger than shoe box-sized.   \nConsider donating non-perishable snacks\, personal hygiene products\, and miscellaneous items.  For a list of specific ideas straight off of the Troops Wish List\, contact Lisa at lmanuell@morainepark.edu \nIf you want to drop off your donation off on the Fond du Lac or West Bend campus\, contact Steve at spepper1@morainepark.edu to make arrangements. \n  \nPACKING DAY is on Wednesday\, 11/14 between 10 a.m. – 1 p.m. \nIt’s the perfect way to send your appreciation\, holiday cheer\, prayers and thoughts to the men and women serving overseas this holiday season! DESCRIPTION:Donna Freund invites you to WALK WITH US because The End of Alzheimer’s Starts with You! Register for the Walk to End Alzheimer’s on October 5\, at Moraine Park Technical College in Fond du Lac. Start a team today! Gather your friends\, family\, co-workers\, or members of your church or community organization. The Walk begins at 10:00 a.m.\, with on-site registration starting at 8:30 a.m. If you aren’t able to participate at the event\, show your support by registering as a “virtual walker” or make a donation to support a friend\, family member\, or co-worker.  Search for MPTC Walkers to join the MPTC team! \nEnjoy a lovely 2 mile walk\, plus pre-walk festivities including complimentary breakfast provided by the Kiwanis Club\, A&W root beer floats\, live music\, team photos\, and the Purple Clubhouse activity area featuring family activities\, temporary tattoos\, and a crazy purple selfie station. \nALZHEIMER’S DISEASE IS RELENTLESS.
