SUMMARY:MSHA 8-Hour Refresher Training
DESCRIPTION:This 8-hour course fulfills the annual refresher requirement for MSHA. The safety training will consist of a combination of approaches including PowerPoint presentations\, short video clips and interactive discussions. Each training topic will involve discussion and a question/answer session. The duration of each session will vary depending on the topic\, the participation and the trainees understanding of the material. Descriptions of the proposed work scope for each task are to provide eight (8) hours of safety training to employees and training certificates at each training sessions. SUMMARY:Gas Metal Arc Welding Workshop
DESCRIPTION:This 5 week workshop is designed to provide students with basic knowledge of welding. It is ideal for skilled tradespeople\, career changers\, continuing education related training or those that just want to know more about welding. We will introduce you to welding terminology\, safety\, machine setup and shut down\, metal identification\, plasma cutting and GMAW welding processes and positons. Learn how welding equipment functions and then practice your new skills to make quality gas metal arc welds on metals of different thicknesses. Other welding processes may be explored with the permission of the instructor. \nClass meets on Saturdays\, January 27\, February 3\, 10\, 17\, and 24\, 2018.
