What is Moraine Park doing to respond to COVID-19?
College leaders and the COVID Response Team are meeting consistently and continue to evaluate the current and potential impact of coronavirus (COVID-19). In partnership, MPTC leaders and response team members are committed to communicating with campus community members in a timely manner. Moraine Park is following the Wisconsin Department of Health Services and Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recommendations and guidelines to guide decision-making.

Are the campuses closed?
Moraine Park campuses are open for classes but closed for nonessential business. Moraine Park team members are available to assist students during this time. Click here for assistance. Moraine Park is working through a phased reopening plan for a safe reopening of campuses. Moraine Park’s spring semester began on time and classes continue to be offered in person and in virtual and online formats.

What are the plans for reopening Moraine Park campuses?
Moraine Park will resume college operations using a phased-in approach, which can be found on the COVID-19 landing page at morainepark.edu/coronavirus. The phased approach allows the College to mitigate risk and respond in the event of an exposure. All areas will continue to be disinfected at least daily using an EPA-approved disinfectant effective against SARS-CoV-2.

What is planned for summer and fall 2021 semester courses?
Moraine Park’s summer and fall 2021 classes are  scheduled to begin on-time; classes will continue to be offered in person and in virtual and online formats. More registration information can be found here.

Are face coverings and/or masks required at Moraine Park?
Face coverings will continue to be required at Moraine Park indefinitely. Students who are unable to wear a face covering or mask for medical reasons will need to connect with Disability Resources to create an accommodation plan. Employees who are unable to wear a face covering or mask will need to connect with Talent Management to discuss accommodation options.

What if someone who has been on campus does get sick?
The health and safety of all employees and students is a priority to our leadership and COVID response teams. In the event of a reported COVID-19 exposure, MPTC will communicate appropriately with campus community members and immediately coordinate disinfection of the affected area(s) with a third-party vendor. The affected area(s) may be closed for several days based on the vendor and CDC guidelines.

For students: If you are feeling ill, please do not come to campus and contact your instructor immediately.
