Student Government & Organizations

Student Government provides students a place to share their opinions on college issues and opportunities to get involved in college life. Participation encourages the development of leadership skills. Students work with each other, act as liaisons amongst the student body and interact with faculty and the administration in the promotion of student rights.

Student Senate & Activities Committee(s)

Consisting of representatives from each of the campus clubs and members-at-large, the Student Senates provide a voice for the Moraine Park student body on important issues facing students. Student Senates also coordinate social, cultural and leadership activities for their campuses.

District Student Government

A college-wide student organization comprised of the President and two elected representatives from each Student Senate. Their purpose is to address college-wide student concerns and events.

Wisconsin Student Government

A state-wide student organization which represents the interests of all technical college students in Wisconsin. Each technical college elects a Governor and Lieutenant Governor to represent the students at their college. Attendance at meetings is open to other technical college students. Phi Theta Kappa (PTK)

Moraine Park’s Honor Society PTK recognizes students for outstanding achievements in the classroom.  PTK honor society members are selected for induction once a year. Members are required to:

  • Achieve an overall 3.5 cumulative GPA.
  • Have 12 or more credits completed in an associate of applied science degree program at the time they are inducted.
  • Maintain an overall cumulative 3.5 GPA to sustain membership.
