IT Careers

Moraine Park is helping to combat the skilled worker shortage in the Information Technology field by offering four new short-term, targeted certificates. The College is using the U.S. Department of Labor TAACCCT3 Grant to provide specific training necessary to create job opportunities at collaborating area businesses.

Content Management Systems Certificate (15 credits)

The Content Management Systems Certificate offers students the opportunity to build their skills in employing content management systems to build websites. Coursework involves having students install Content Management software, design and edit templates, and enable and work with advanced Content Management features. The coursework combines technical skills with creativity and equips students with the skills to compete in today's industry.

Web Site Security Certificate (11 credits)

The Web Site Security Certificate offers students the opportunity to explore and examine topics in Information Security with an emphasis on Web sites and Web Servers. Students will build their skills in developing Information Security Policies, applying security principles to websites and web servers, and troubleshooting potential security issues as it relates to websites. The coursework combines technical skills with creativity and equips students with the skills to compete in today's industry.

iOS Web Application Development Certificate (12 credits)

The iOS Web Application Development Certificate offers students the opportunity to design and develop web based iOS applications. Students will build their skills in designing UI interfaces, optimization of content, building the application and publishing the web application to a host. The coursework combines technical skills with creativity and equips students with the skills to compete in today's industry

Android Web Application Development Certificate (12 credits)

The Android Web Application Development Certificate offers students the opportunity to design and develop web based Android applications. Students will build their skills in designing UI interfaces, optimization of content, building the application and publishing the web application to a host. The coursework combines technical skills with creativity and equips students with the skills to compete in today's industry.

  • Acceptance into the program

  • Graduation

Fees

There is no charge for tuition. However, varying fees will apply to individual courses.
