Moraine Park Technical College has announced Dr. Morna Foy as its 2017 Commencement keynote speaker on Saturday, May 20.

Foy is president of the Wisconsin Technical College System, consisting of 16 institutions that annually serve more than 300,000 students. She has more than 25 years of experience in public policy and higher education and a lifelong commitment to her home state of Wisconsin.

Foy is also the first woman to serve as president in the 100-year history of the WTCS.

Moraine Park’s 2017 Commencement Ceremony will be held at 10 a.m. at the Fond du Lac High School field house. Nearly 800 graduate candidates will be receiving associate of applied science degrees and technical diplomas, with approximately 350 graduate candidates expected to participate in the Commencement Ceremony. Bonnie Baerwald, Moraine Park president, will preside over the ceremony.

This year’s commencement will also feature student speaker Madison Johannes. Johannes is Moraine Park’s Wisconsin Technical College System 2016-17 District Student Ambassador, and is a student in the College’s Human Resources program.
