Training Period

The apprenticeship consists of four years of not less than 6,416 hours, in which a minimum of 576 hours is spent in paid-related classroom instruction and 120 hours of unpaid-related instruction. Apprentices attend class one day every other week for eight semesters. First aid, CPR and a 10-hour OSHA safety course are required during the first 12 months of the contract.
