Training Period

The electrician apprenticeship consists of five years of not less than 8,640 hours in which a minimum of 720 hours is spent in paid-related classroom instruction and 200 hours of unpaid-related instruction. Apprentices attend class one day every other week for ten semesters. First aid, CPR and a 10-hour OSHA safety course are required during the first 12 months of the contract.
