Electrical Lineman Apprenticeship

Apprenticeship Program: 50-413-6
Campus: Beaver Dam (Years 1 and 2),
Chippewa Valley Technical College (Years 3 and 4)

Electrical line workers study construction specifications to build and maintain power lines; they repair and maintain transformers, meters and energized lines; they operate vehicles and heavy equipment; and they locate line trouble, climb poles, use hot-line tools, and operate and maintain substations.

 

This program is a nontraditional occupation for women.

Application Requirements
Applicants should be 18 years of age and submit an apprentice and employer application to their Bureau of Apprenticeship Standards Representative.
